Lahore: Anonymous assailants on Monday attacked controversial Pakistani actress Meera, who was recently in a sex video scandal with her alleged husband, in Gulburg, Lahore and partially damaged her car. According to reports, the attacked occurred as soon as Meera, flanked by her younger sister Aqsa, positioned the driving seat after doing some shopping in Liberty Market. The enraged assailants reportedly threw stones at her vehicle and smashed up its windows. Speaking to media after the incident, Meera said that she is being threatened to leave the country by unknown people via email and she will take legal action in this regard.
“I am getting calls and death threats since the release of the controversial video clip…I am being forced to leave my country,” she said. On the other hand, Gulburg police has expressed ignorance over the incident, saying the actress has not approached them to lodge the case. Earlier this month, back-to-back objectionable videos of Meera leaked online, showing the actress in objectionable state with her alleged husband Naveed Pravaiz, a Pakistani-American airline captain. The actress, however, termed the video clips morphed and conspiracy against her.
