She added that this doesn’t mean she only wants to work in low-budget films
Veena Malik, who recently tied the knot with beau Ashad Bashir Khan,
said banners don’t excite her. “Running after big banners is old
psychology. It doesn’t work these days. Nowadays, whichever film has
worked in box office are mostly those with not so known names. Low
budget films have, in fact, worked more than big budget films,” she
said.
She, however, hastened to add that this doesn’t mean she only likes
working in low-budget films. “Most of my films are decent budgeted. The
producers spend the amount required on the film. A love story of course
won’t cost as much as an action thriller. But Silk, which is running
successfully in Karnataka is an expensive film,” she said, adding that
the first thing she looks in a script is her teams vision. “I am not the
one to run after money. If there is money and no vision, the director
will surely deliver a flop. I believe in working with good actors, and
excited and enthusiastic people,” the actress added.
