It’s the end of 2nd week of 2013, and our artists have already started
appearing on international polls. Itimes (site own by Indian’s largest
media and entertainment group Times India) is an online polling website
where fans vote for their favorite celebrities. Itimes declares the
result once the poll ended; today the site started another poll under
the label “Times Most Desirable 2012″, which is further divided in two
categories Times Most Desirable Men 2012 and Times Most Desirable Women
2012.
This year, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar; the two pop icons of Pakistani music industry has been nominated by the site. The most controversial actress Veena Malik has also been nominated by the site in Women category. Each user has to choose 10 celebrities from the list and rank them on the scale of 1 to 10, 1 being their most favorite and 10 being least favorite. At the end of the poll, the site declares 50 most desirable celebrities.
The poll was last held in 2011, Atif Aslam stood 25th and Ali Zafar stood 17th on top 50 favorite celebrity’s list. Veena Malik is nominated for the first time on this poll. The site also allows its users to nominate their celebrity if not listed already.

*The Times 50 Most Desirable People list is based on a heady mix of popularity, sex appeal and beauty. A celebrity cannot be ranked No 1 consecutively for 2 years or occupy the top rank more than 3 times ever on Times Most Desirable Polls.
Additional Eligibility Criteria: Anyone who is of Indian origin or a foreigner, holds an Indian work permit for a minimum of three months, has acted in an Indian movie, television or has captured the imagination and fancy of the Indian public – thus upping their desirability quotient – will also be eligible for consideration for the Times poll 2012″
